Sutsche

sutsche

“Sutsche” is a low German term for “slow, relaxed and unstrained”. Fitting then, that Akaak, Martin Moritz and Gurss von Dred—three DJs from Hamburg—co-opted it for their project where they abide by just one rule: that they spin house and techno records originally designed to be played at 45 rpm at 33 rpm. Today’s Mix of the Day is the premiere of the set they did for Klub Katarakt, an experimental music festival in Hamburg which explores the concept of sonic and physical space within a musical context. It is, as you can imagine, an unhurried, almost uncanny 75 minutes which teases the original tracks apart and tweaks at the spaciality, effectively yielding an entirely changed and parallel set of atmospheres and tenors. We’re feeling it. (quelle:http://www.electronicbeats.net)
